Alice shuddered at his cold words. Unsuccessfully, she tried to fight back the cold tears she knew were the outcome of her broken spirit, and as the tears spilled down her cheeks she realized why his words had hurt her so much. It was because she had trusted him, and her trust had been crushed. Alice turned her head away from him, trying her best to hide her despair.
He chuckled quietly at the sight of her pain. His eyes glow with an intensity that burned into her, the look a hunter gave his prey before the final blow. Slowly, he brought up his clawed hand to brush her tears away, a wicked smile on his face. Alice cringed from his touch, afraid to let him get any closer to her, although she was pinned against him.
Yes... he whispered in excitement, his eyes glowing in delight. Fear the wolf, little lamb... shiver in his presence, and run from his fangs...
